I love the thought experiment of applying the KonMari method to what do we want to retain or discard from modern civilization!! I'm not a follower of the method but I gather the key question that is asked in the process is 'does this spark joy?' This reminds me of an incredibly impactful talk by Pat McCabe where she told us 'your joy matters'. In the context of the talk, this moved many of us really deeply as we questioned where we really do find our joy.
Yes! I know it's a bit silly to consider that in some areas of our life, but I think it could work as an overall usage for thinking about what's actually worth bringing to the new world! I will have to check out that talk, thank you. :)
Yes I agree. The talk was at Schumacher and wasn't recorded. However, if you look up Pat McCabe on YouTube, I am sure she has spoken in very similar ways in other settings. She is always absolutely mesmerising.
